New Magical Items and New Witch Spells
Sat, 16 May 2020 06:53:52 +0000

As we started a new campaign, the players has some interesting ideas. The ideas spawn into two new magical items and three new witch spells. I'm sure more ideas are going to come into fruition. For now, the following are the new content in Cyno's Fantasy.

One player came up with Genie Blowpipe and Nimble Fighting Ring. The former is a blowpipe with unlimited magical darts. The second increases the character's actions per turn.

The witch spells collection has increased with these three new spells: 1) Magic Crow; 2) Stone Stare; 3) Stone Touch. The first magic spell allows the caster to spawn crow familiars. The other two spells allow the casters to create stone objects. I'm sure they will bring twists and turns in your campaigns.

3D Printing Miniatures at Home
Tue, 25 Sep 2018 09:50:48 +0000

Recently, I've purchased a ELEGOO Ender 3 3D printer. I put it together in less than 2 hours and have been printing on it every since. I use Cura with the defaults for CR-10 and PLA. So far, no real problems with printing miniatures and terrains.

I found that printing with 20% infill in more than enough when it comes to miniatures that requires no support. But when I print miniatures with support, sometimes the arms, legs, and other thin objects break when I try to pull off the support.

Maybe infill needs to be 100% when the miniature needs support?

What are you experiences 3D printing miniatures at home?

Using Children's Miniature for Role-Playing Games
Sat, 14 Nov 2015 02:47:42 +0000

For a long time, my kids had been a little too young to get into the pencil and paper role-playing games. But recently, they turned 8 and 6 years old. They learned how to read, write, and do arithmatic.

So when my son wanted Minion miniatures, I figured it is the perfect time to get them to practice their new found skills... with old fashion D&D like games.

Kids mind are already very creative. But their imagination skills can be toned wiyh vatious figurines. They already have Lego pirate, mermaid, skeleton, Minecraft figures. They also have My Little Pony, Sick Bricks, Shopkins, and many others. These figures are, surprisingly, similarly in scale to traditional RPG miniatures.

For example, My Little Pony can serve as the miniature for horses. Skeleton Lego figures can be skeleton monsters. And instead of playing a basic human kids, your children can play a Minion character.

It would be fun to run a small game using these children miniatures. I am going running the simple "Mystical Dungeon" story with my kids and their miniatures and see where it goes.

Search Integration
Thu, 14 Jun 2012 22:34:56 +0000

Originally, Cyno's Role-Play is split between two sites: and The former site is targeted to modern warfare and science fiction role-play. The latter site is targeted to fantasy role-play. However, that made searching for common topic across two independent sites difficult.

Today, we started the search integration. The plan is to keep the two separate site to stay focused on the genre, however, integrate the two domains so that one search can produce data from both sites.

To carry forward this plan, two additional hosts are added to the two individual domains: and Soon you will be able to search on Cyno's Role-Play materials from both sites using a single interface.
